Proud father of Professor Les (Janet) Atlas and the late Debra Atlas.
Adoring grandfather of Darcy.
Fond brother of Lillian Koshakow, Ann Atlas, the late Alex and brother-in-law Dr. Donald Ratke. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sydney was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Seventh Army Air Force.
He was an MPS teacher for many years and the first president of the Milwaukee area Reading Council. Special thanks to the Sarah Chudnow Campus, Lasata Care Center and Heartland Hospice.
Donations to the charity of your choice appreciated. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 9, 11AM, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Avenue.
