Marjorie A. DelCanto, 73, of Washington, IL, formerly of Sarasota, FL died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born on April 29, 1941 in Blue Knob, PA to Charles and Grace V. Long Wertman, she married Anthony J. DelCanto in June of 1962 in Altoona, PA; he preceded her in death on October 7, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dick Wertman in 1987.
Surviving are one brother, Tom (Marty) Wertman of Altoona, PA; and one sister, Debra (Phil) Hansen of Washington, IL.
Marjorie worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance in Altoona where she met her husband, Tony. She worked for several other insurance companies in Hartford, CT before retiring to Sarasota, FL.
Graveside service will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Blue Knob, PA. Cremation rites have been accorded.
