SCOTTSBURG - Charles G. Nolan, 61, of Scottsburg, Ind., son of Bill Nolan and Doris Hensley Nolan Davidson of Port Royal, died Monday, June 23, 2008, in Lexington, Ky.

He was a professor at Ivy Tech Community College.
He was a retired middle school and high school teacher in Austin.
He was the former owner of the Loaves & Fishes Christian Book Store and also operated Nolans' Educational Consulting Services.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Baker Nolan;
son, Joel Nolan of Scottsburg;
daughter, Bethany Nolan of Bloomington;
mother, Doris Hensley Nolan Davidson of Port Royal, SC;
brothers, Don Nolan of Folkston, Ga., Wayne Nolan of Burton, Ga., Corbet Nolan of Stuttgart, Germany, and James Davidson of Port Royal;
sisters, Billie Jean Nolan and Darlene Davidson, both of Port Royal.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Scottsburg.

Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery.

Preceded in death by brother-inlaw Oddis Baker.

He didn't cross Jordan alone.
