MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lena Mae Puffinberger, 92, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at City Hospital.
Born May 26, 1910, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Sarah Barrett Custer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert N. Puffinberger.
She retired from Leggett's Department Store in Winchester, Va.
She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Raney of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren, Eric Raney, Melanie Rannells, Kurt Raney, Jan Lorber, Dore Nesmith, Kristi Woodward and Jodie Mauck; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. Puffinberger; and one sister, Myrtle Miller.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. John R. Yost will officiate. Burial will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
