Helen (Craig) Robishaw, 91 of Sanford, died Friday evening, April 12, 2013 at Stone Crest Assisted Living in Freeland. She was born June 15, 1921 in Saginaw County, daughter of the late Earl and Ida (Bailey) Munger.

Helen was born on a farm in Tittabawassee Township, attended Freeland schools and graduated from Arthur Hill High School. On October 5, 1940 she married Kenneth Craig, Sr. and together they enjoyed 45 years of marriage until Ken's passing on October 22, 1985. She later married Ed Robishaw on May 24, 1987 at the Sanford United Methodist Church. She had been a 4H Leader and a Girl Scout Leader for several years. During World War II she worked as a plane spotter, and had also made wedding cakes for her family and for others. Helen enjoyed travelling, having gone to California, Florida, Arizona, and even Spain where she met new friends that she now considers family. Helen spent 19 years as a nurse's aide at the Midland Hospital Center.

She is survived by her husband Ed Robishaw of Sanford; son: Kenneth (friend, Star Langley of Caseville) Craig, Jr. of Coleman, daughters: Beverly (Timothy) McCaw of Traverse City, and Kathleen (Randall) Scott of Cheboygan, step-children: Jerry (Debra) Robishaw of St. Augustine, FL, Joann (David) Rummel of Saginaw, Janice (Robert) Lach of Freeland, and Joyce (Patrick) Payne also of Freeland. Seven grandchildren: Zachary (Andrea) Scott of East Grand Rapids, Justin (Stephanie) Scott of Grand Rapids, Mackenzie (Cliff) Scott-Carney of Clawson, Melissa (Tim) McGuire of Germany, Christina (Chad) DeVille of Traverse City, Amy Jo (Nicholas) Lanphierd, Sr. of Sanford, and Shannon (Edgar) Garzon of Midland; seven step grandchildren: David (Kellie) Lach of South Lyon, Amy (Brian) Eichstaedt of Grandville, Brett (Jane) Robishaw of Jacksonville, FL, Aaron (Michele) Robishaw of Freeland, Matthew (Courtney) Robishaw of Freeland, Sara Good of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Payne of Jacksonville, FL, Kevin Payne of Freeland, and 23 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Harry Munger, Delos Munger, Floyd Munger, and Dwight Munger.

Funeral services for Helen will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 from the Sanford United Methodist Church with Pastor Anthony N. Cutting officiating. Interment will follow in Sanford Cemetery.

Helen's family will receive friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler Street on Friday evening, April 19th from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Sanford United Methodist Church.
