Eugene is my grandmother's brother. He is the 6th of nine children of Mose Coutchie and Virginia DeMars. He married Rose Matuzek on December 25, 1929 in Brunswick, Michigan. They had no children.

He worked for the Continental Motors Corporation for 20 years and retired as a supervisor in 1965.
