❤ Beloved Cousin ❤

"Soldiers, when committed to a task, can't compromise. It's unrelenting devotion to the standards of duty and courage, absolute loyalty to others, not letting the task go until it's been done." ~ John Keegan, British Military Historian

Kenneth B Holland of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the comfort of his home at the age of 85.
Kenneth was born in Charleston, Mississippi, reared in the surrounding areas and lived nearly fifty years in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
In 1946 at age eighteen, he joined the Army Air Corps (forerunner of the US Air Force), serving in Korea and Vietnam as a Flight Engineer stationed throughout the United States and countless foreign countries. He served twenty years, retiring as a Tech Sergeant with the United States Air Force.
He then began another career with Hercules as a millwright, retiring after thirty years of service. He enjoyed working around the house, gardening, and was talented in wood working.
Kenneth was an admirable man of courage, strength, and integrity. He devoted his life and his love to his family.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of sixty-two years, Mary Napp Holland of Lake Charles; three children, Keith G Holland and wife Nelda of Lake Charles; Capt Brad Holland (Louisiana State Police) and wife Karen of Baton Rouge, and Mary Holland Findley and husband Al of Iowa; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Kenneth is deeply loved and missed. ❤
Kenneth's older brother, Grady, was a WW II POW. Kenneth and Grady were very close all their lives.

With much, much gratitude and many thanks to Verna for the transferal of Kenneth's memorial. She's a gem - she transferred without my request. Thank you ever so much, dear one!
