The seventh son of a seventh son, Orlando was saved at the time of his birth by a Palero (African warrior caste) high priest. He grew up to become one of the most prominent figures of the Palo religion, even appearing on television, to demonstrate his occult powers during the exorcism of a house in New Jersey. He never married. He was highly cultured and a world traveler, and had hundreds of godchildren who were devotees of Palo. Through his spirit guide, "Caboyaya" he worked miracles for anyone who sought his assistance. His passing was a shock to us all. He succombed to a brain tumor three days after its diagnosis.
