William Thomas 'Bill' Wade is the son of William Henry Archie Wade & Joicy Jane (Hanks) Wade.
He is the husband of Minnie Bell (Self) Wade. They were married November 17, 1958.
They had no children of their own but every niece and nephew was loved and treated as one of their own.
They loved to hunt and fish together. One of Bill's favorite stories to tell on Minnie was the time they were out in a flat-bottom boat fishing and they came onto a duck tangled in weeds. It was a small adult duck but since it was so little, Minnie wanted to catch the 'baby' duck and take it home to raise. Bill, knowing it was a grown duck, told her to to ahead. In his words, "She'd no sooner grabbed that duck, than it went to eatin' her alive. It bit her up one arm and down the other. She let go of that baby pretty quick." Her response to the incident was, "Fine, you can starve to death for all I care." The duck made it's get-a-way and Bill had a great story to tell on his wife for years to come. They bothed laughed 'til their sides hurt ever time the story was told and it was a story asked for by someone every time the family would get together.
