Desiree D. Knapp, 24, of Pottstown, died suddenly from a heroin overdose Sunday morning, Sept. 6, 2009, in her home.

Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of Lisa D. (Bright) Chis, of Pottstown and Wayne K. Knapp, of Limerick.

Ms. Knapp was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School and Montgomery County Community College.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Knapp is survived by her stepfather, Constantin Chis, of North Coventry; three half brothers, Michael, Sean, and Kyle Knapp; maternal grandparents, Thomas Bright and Nancy Bright Haller; and paternal grandfather, Stanley Knapp Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
