Luther Edward Anding, age 86, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the Oakdale Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Anding was born in Oakdale, Louisiana to Tom and Ella Anding.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and four sisters.

Mr. Anding served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for Newport Industries for 20 years and then as a member of Local #692 Union. Mr. Anding was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakdale.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 68 years, Loyce Anding; four daughters, Jo Ella Morgan and husband Hollis of Turkey Creek, Linda Anding of Sulphur, Pat Istre of Sulphur, Vicky Smith and husband Bobby of Lake Charles, Julie Snell and husband Michael of Beaumont, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jo Lynette Johnson, Richard Morgan, Cathy DeRouen, Patrick Soileau, Michele Damato, Matthew and Markham Istre, Jason and Jenna Snell; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements will be directed by White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Private graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004.

He will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
