Funeral services for Lottie Maricle will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Sidney Mitchell officiating. Committal service will follow in the Occupy #1 Cemetery of Pitkin under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Lottie, 87, of New Iberia, entered eternal rest on December 22, 2013, in Belle Teche Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of New Iberia. She was born on August 11, 1926, in Pitkin to the union of Mitch and Cynthia Maricle Hatch.
Lottie was a native of Pitkin and resident of New Iberia, since 1966. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Maricle; her parents, Mitch and Cynthia Maricle Hatch; three brothers; four sisters; one granddaughter; Cynthia Lynn Coker; and one son-in-law, David Desormeaux.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving family, one son, Arthur Gene Maricle, wife Judy Dupre Maricle of New Iberia,; three daughters, Rowena M. Romero, husband Greg Romero of New Iberia, and Sheila "Cookie" Desormeaux of New Iberia and Hilda M. Coker, husband Bryant Coker of Kiefer, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Brandon Desormeaux, Aaron Desormeaux, Shea Aucoin, Danny Aucoin, Skyler Woodard, and Mitchell Maricle. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Cactus Coker and Michael Legnon.
