James Lee Daugherty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dawson G. Daugherty, was born in Atchison county, Kansas, in 1890, and came with his parents to Holton where he grew to manhood, and departed this life at the Moser hospital, November 15, 1939.
He was married to Faye Allmiller. To this union were born three children: Nettie, Phil and Cleo. Nettie preceded him in death about twelve years ago.
Besides his two children, he leaves one brother and two sisters: Reuben Daugherty and Mrs. Isaac Magers of Holton, and Mrs. Doc Davis of Solomon, Kans., and one half-brother, Joe Martin, of Sharon Springs, Kan.
Funeral services were held at the Gabel and McAsey Chapel, Friday, November 17, and burial was in the Holton cemetery on the Daugherty lot.
