Television Journalist, Radio Host. He became legendary in his own lifetime, and was a role model how to perform journalism and renewed the Swedish television-medium completely during the early 1960´s. He first made his name in a radio show called "Karusellen" (The Merry-go-round), which was followed up by a similar show for television: "Hylands hörna" (Hyland´s corner). In both these shows he established a communication with the listeners/viewers, that was unique. He also was a successful journalist in sports, and was to become a mentor for an entire generation of sports reporters at the Swedish Radio and TV. Upon his retirement, he settled down in his birthplace, Tranås. Lennart Hyland died from a heart failure.
