With Ingmar Bergman, he appeared in "Den Goda Viljan" in 1992. He was also celebrated for what is considered as a brilliant interpretation of some brutal killers in "Skånska Mord" in 1986, describing a number of authentic murder cases committed in the south of Sweden. Prior to his death, he made great success as "The Danish hater" neurosurgeon Stig Helmer, in director Lars von Trier's "Riket" (The Kingdom). Besides his acting career, he was noted for being a fashion-monger, who used to wear designer clothes made by special tailors. His cause of death was cancer.
