He was the youngest child of Robert Andrew Bradley and Louise Williams Bradley. When he was a boy, his family moved to Idaho and then to Utah.
Dave married Thurma Eyre in 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in 1989.
Dave and Thurma began a family business, Dave's Body Shop, in 1942, which is still successfully operating today. Dave helped organize Valley Bank and Trust in South Salt Lake. He was a highly respected businessman for many years. Honesty and integrity were the hallmarks of his life.
Dave and Thurma wintered in Mesa, Arizona for 20 years and also enjoyed their summers in Bear Lake, Utah. Boating and water sports were Dave's favorite pastimes.
In his retirement years, he became an accomplished jewelry maker. His work was highly sought after and he loved making Thurma, and his family members, beautiful Indian bracelets, necklaces and rings.
He loved his two sons, JayDe and Dale, and spent years working with them in scouting activities. His grandchildren benefited from his wide range of talents and interests. He enjoyed teaching them life skills.
He was the loving caretaker of Thurma for three years before she passed away. Their marriage was a
model of respect, love and partnership in work and in play. Dave had a glowing smile and a very warm heart for all people. He will be remembered for his positive approach to life and his dedication to his church and family.
He is survived by sons-and daughters-in-law: JayDe and Stephanie Bradley of Chicago, Ill and Dale and Barbara Bradley, Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren: Melissa B. and Michael Pavlica, Scott Bradley, MD and Kevin and Roberta Bradley; great-grandson, Kyle of Chicago; Michael Bradley, Heather B. and Trapper Turner of Salt Lake City.
