Former Brown County resident Hattie B. Cramer Bailey died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Indianapolis. A resident of that city, she was 94.

Mrs. Bailey was born March 14, 1905, in Morgan County to Eli N. and Nellie M. Matthew Cramer.

She was married to Walter C. Bailey. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bailey had worked in market research and home economics at Stokley Van Camp in Indianapolis for 15 years, retiring in 1967.

She had been a member of the Southport Christian Church. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Southport Order of the Eastern Star for half a century.

Survivors include a sister, Louise Cavett Hegarty; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Cramer, Earl Cramer and William Cramer; and three sisters, Marie Cassidy, Pauline Gaskill and Florence Roembke.

A service was conducted Monday afternoon, June 14, at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis.

Burial was in Johnson County's Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southport Christian Church, 201 East Epler Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, or to the donor's choice of charities.
