CAMERON ROBERT AMBER, 20, of Churubusco, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, as a result of a two vehicle accident on U.S. 33, south of Churubusco. A lifelong resident of Churubusco, he graduated from Churubusco High School in 2009, and was quarterback for the school's semi-state team in 2007. He had served in the U.S. Air Force, coached Churubusco Youth Football, and enjoyed his diesel truck. He had been employed at 80/20, Columbia City, since August. Surviving are his parents, Bob and Marna (Friskney) Amber of Churubusco; sisters, Ashton (James Ford) Amber of Fort Wayne and Taylor Amber; a student at Huntington University; brother, Carlin Amber at home; grandparents, Don and Patty Amber of Churubusco and Marjorie Friskney of Albion; fianceé, Nicole Pippenger of Avilla; and a nephew, Braylon McCoy. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Willis Friskney. Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Churubusco United Methodist Church, with calling one hour prior. Pastors Corinne K. Boruff and Timothy Grable officiating. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial in Eel River Cemetery south of Churubusco.
