Services Set for Retired Barber
William J. "Bill" Dixon, a resident of Davis for the past 70 years, died Tuesday in Pauls Valley General hospital after a long illness. Funeral services are set for Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in First Baptist church. Finis Steelman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Green Hill cemetery. Bahner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dixon, a retired barber, was born June 16, 1895 in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of American Legion.
Survivors are his wife, Era, of the home, 401 South Third; a son, Bobby Dixon of Abilene, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Leta Cobb of Arlinton, Tex.; and two grandchildren.
