On the 18th instant, at Scranton Mississippi, all that was mortal of Dr. William Daniel Bragg passed away. For over ten months he had suffered with a malignant cancer of the throat, which finally resulted in death.
Dr. Bragg was 58 years of age and leaves a wife and five children, one of whom is the well known physician of this place, Dr. E.R. Bragg, and the eldest daughter is the wife of Frank Lewis, Sheriff of Jackson County.
Dr. Bragg was a graduate of the University of Louisiana, but was born in Alabama. His death is deplored by all and the funeral was attended by a large concourse of citizens.
The mason's performed their rites over the body.
