On January 2, our cat Max was killed. We believe he was hit by a vehicle. Although there was no blood on him or obvious trauma, he was found on the side walk a block from our home. Max loved spending time in our yard. We never knew him to be a wanderer.

My daughters & I adopted Max, his sister Mia and their brother Baby when we learned they were going to be taken to the animal shelter. Their elderly owner couldn't take care of the kittens. These kittens were about 2 months old. My youngest daughter took Baby with her to Utah. Max and Mia came home with my daughter and me. Max and Mia were always playing together, chasing each other through the house, climbing and playing in their tree towers. Max and Mia loved following my daughter around outside and she was able to take many pictures of them running and playing in the yard.

Max was a wonderful and lovable cat. He brought much laughter into our home with his silly antics. Every Christmas Max was in our Christmas tree where he would stay in the tree for hours of course his sister Mia had to join him. The first Christmas with our kittens, we could not decorate our tree because both Max and Mia would take running jumps landing into the tree and practically knocking it over. After the first Christmas, we could decorate our tree because the cats no longer ran and jumped into the tree. They would climb into the tree and lay among the branches.

Every evening Max would come to me for his evening treats while I was watching television. He would sit and stare at me meowing which was more like a squeak until I would give him his treat. Max is truly missed.
