Civil War Union Army Soldier. He was 23 years old when he enlisted in the Union army in New York City, New York. He was mustered in as a Private in the 10th Battery, New York Independent Volunteer Light Artillery on April 3, 1862, but died of disease at the Summit House US Army General Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November 21, 1862.
