Omer E. Benner, 48, a World War veteran and a blacksmith in the Volpert Welding shop here, died Sunday morning at his home here, 301 1/2 North Broadway, after an illness of a few days with pneumonia. He was found dead in his bed by his wife.
A native of Onward, Indiana, the deceased is survived by the widow, Mrs. Sue Benner; three brothers; Clarence, Marion; Mannie, of Indianapolis, and Ed. of near Santa Fe; and two sisters; Mrs. Harry Keating, of near Young America, and Mrs. Harry Egle, of near Miami.
The body was removed to the Drake funeral home here where it will be held pending the arrangement of funeral rites which will be announced later.
