Jack W. Barnard, 61, Logansport,
died at 4:55 a.m. March 23, 1990,
at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Carroll County
Sept. 15, 1928, to Joseph and
Mildred Price Barnard. On March
7, 1958, he was married in
Logansport to Mary Lynn Barnard,
who is Logansport clerk-treasurer.
Barnard was street commissioner
in Logansport for 12 years and assistant
street commissioner for
more than 10 years before his
retirement in June 1989. He was a
United States Army veteran and
served during the Korean War. His
memberships include Fort Wayne
Scottish Rile, Tipton Lodge 33,
American Legion, Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Elks Lodge and Fraternal
Order of Police. He was a
former vice-president of the Indiana
Stale Street Commissioners
Association.
Surviving with the wife are one
son, Curtis, Terre Haute; one
brother, Joseph, Camden; and two
sisters, Betty Jo Scott, Camden,
and Peggy Lou Miller, Flora.
Services were held Monday in
Logansport with burial and military
rites in Mount Hope Cemetery.
