Moses was a merchant in Middletown Butler Ohio when he retired and moved to a farm West of Blue Ball. Later sold the farm and moved to White County Indiana. Had 8 children; John Calhoun, Andrew, Nancy, Robert (burried next to his parents in Logansport,IN), William, James,
Matthew and Katharitida.

Moses was also an elder of the Presbyterian Church.

Moses was also a soldier in the War of 1812. Private, 2nd regiment Cotgreave's, Ohio Militia.

His Father, Andrew Karr, A patriot soldier of the American Revolutionary War and buried in Blue Ball, Ohio.
