Buttermilk was a Gelbvieh cow that I raised on a bottle or bucket. She was very gentle and raised many calves of her own over the years. She also supplied us with lots of colostrum (first milk) that we used to feed other newborn calves that couldn't get it from their own mothers. We are going to miss Butters.
