Frank C. Fox was the youngest son of German immigrants Mike C. and Anna Marie Schwartz Fox. His family lived first in Ulster County, New York, then Pennsylvania and Ohio. They were in Birmingham, Alabama 1880 and moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee about 1890. Frank married Sara Ethel Hamill June 3, 1903 in Chattanooga and they had three daughters: Vivian, Amelda and Bernice Fox. Frank C. Fox worked for the Tennessee Casket Company in Chattanooga for about forty years. It must be noted that information on his death certificate is perhaps questionable (given by his wife Ethel); his family was definitely in Alabama and he gave Alabama as his birth place, not Ohio, on all the censuses. His baby sister Lizzie Fox Hasenkamp Roberts was born in Logan County, Ohio so that may have caused confusion. His birth date should be 1881, but I chose to use the 1882 date given on his death certificate as that was probably used on burial records, and so future searchers can identify him.
