Carol Ann Blumanhourst, a daughter of Alvin and Ruby Blumanhourst, was born June 12, 1945, in Harper. She attended grade school at the Belmont school and was graduated from the Kingman High School in 1963. She was attending Wichita State University as a sophomore at the time of her death November 25, 1964.

​Very active in 4-H Club work, she belonged to the Belmont Willing Workers. One of the highlights of her club work was being awarded a trip to Washington, D.C. for the citizenship short course in 1962. She was winner of the county style revue in 1962. She was a member of the Belmont Methodist Church.

​She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Shirley Mitchell of Wichita, and her grandfather, Fred Osborn of Belmont.
