She joins her husband, Roy T. Jones, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage and a daughter, Sarah Robbins in paradise.
She is survived by her four children, Sally Jo and husband John Cribbs of Middlebury, Sherry Williams of Crawfordsville, Michael and Jean Roberts of Tipton, Scott and Tanya Roberts of Atco, N.J., along with Debbie Moore of Murray, Ky. and Richard Jones, also of Murray, Ky.; sisters, Shirley Cave of Louisville, Ky., Joan Burthay of Kokomo, Leona Boulay of Kokomo; and a brother, John Pherson of Kokomo.
She was an amazing mother, grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Jean was born in Alto on Sept. 2, 1934.
She worked at Delco Electronics for 30 years, retiring in 1992. She received her associate degree in business from Ivy Tech.
She enjoyed camping, bowling, quilting and various other crafts. Jean also enjoyed traveling and trying new things.
She attended Heartland Church. She spent her life loving, teaching, and leading by example. She loved her God and her family with all her heart.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. in Kokomo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the mortuary with Dr. William Salsbury officiating.
Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery.
