Services will be Thursday at 12:30 in St. Mark Episcopal Church, Anaconda, for Dillon native and long-time Anaconda resident Terry P. Conklin, 63, of 806 River Street in Hamilton, who died Monday in Hamilton. The Rev. John Caton will officiate and burial will be in Lower Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Conklin was born Oct. 14, 1918, to Frank and Fawn Conklin and attended schools in Dillon. He enlisted in the Army after high school and served during World War II. He married Marjorie Stevens in Dillon in 1940, and following his discharge in 1945, they moved to Anaconda.
He retired after 30 years as a stationary engineer for the Anaconda Minerals Co. and was a past president of the Operating Engineers' Union. He was also a vestry man in the Episcopal Church and was active in veteran organizations. He and his wife moved to Hamilton in 1979.
She survivors. Other survivors are sons, Danny of Seattle and Ronald of Hamilton; daughter, Darla Conklin of Las Vegas; brothers, Dick of Choteau and Earl of Sheridan, Wyo.; sister, May Evans of Butte and one grandchild.
