Funeral services for Richard Duaine King, 27, of Salem, were held Wednesday, September 2, at the Bateman Newport Chapel. Interment followed in the Eureka Cemetery. Mr. King was born in Kalispell, Mont., on August 15, 1937 and died at Seal Rock while visiting at the home of his grandparents, on August 30. He had been a resident of Salem for about 14 years.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orval King of Portland; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hanson of Seal Rock; Mrs. Sylvia Crist and Mr. Martin Evjen, both in Montana; three brothers, Edward, James and Bobby all in Portland, and five sisters, Mrs. Carol Carpenter of Yachats, Mrs. Colleen Mix of Newport, Mrs. Alanna Stuckey of Los Angeles, Mrs. Nancy Meisbauer and Miss Darlene King both in Portland and Mrs. Janice Bertrand of Aberdeen, Wn.
