James W. Dingman, age 67, of Gloversville passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on May 4, 1947 in Johnstown, a son of the late Stewart W. Dingman and Ida May VanEvera Dingman.
Mr. Dingman honorably served his country in the Army, Navy and the Marines.
Survivors include one son James W. Dingman, Jr. and his companion Laura Palmenter, one daughter April Persse and her companion Thomas Anadio; two brothers Jeff (Cynthia) Dingman and Rich (Lisa) Dingman; two sisters Pamela Dingman and Anna Dingman; seven grandchildren Max Dingman, Sage Dingman, Cynthia Dingman, James Byers, Alexis Persse, Steven Dingman and Stewart Dingman, one great grandson Nathan Jonah Thomas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 East Main Street with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the services from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow at the Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
