Dorothy Jeanne Lytch was the beloved wife of Seth Grover "Lucky" Lytch, Sr. She graduated from high school in Chicago, IL, and eventually returned to Kansas City, KS. At the close of the Second World War she was employed in the Fairfax Ammunition Plant in Kansas City, KS. She and her husband lived and worked in Morongo Valley, CA, for many years before returning to live in Chanute, KS. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute.

She and her husband were foster parents to 18 children and adopted two. She enjoyed bowling and knitting. She was the daughter of Samuel Wayne Allen and Zora Edna Decker Allen. She was the stepdaughter of Delmar Homer Heckart whom she lovingly referred to as "Daddio". She was the granddaughter of Zachariah Erastus Decker and Mae Elizabeth Allen Decker.
