Rose Marie DeNota was the daughter of Anthony A. "Tony" DeNota and Ada Belle Merriott Decker DeNota. She was a 1935 graduate of Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She died tragically of scarlet fever at the age of 20 at Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the sister of Rosalie Mae DeNota Ferguson.
