Ada Belle Merriott Decker DeNota was the adopted daughter of Zachary Taylor Decker and Anna Elizabeth Owen Hall Decker. She was the wife of Anthony A. "Tony" DeNota, an immigrant to the U.S. from Sicily. She was the adopted sister of Warren Owen Decker, Daisy Anna Decker Birkes, Margaret Ellen Decker Gaw, Zachariah Erastus "Zed" Decker, and Clara Leora Decker Sherwin. She was the mother of Roy Vacil Painter DeNota, Betty Jean DeNota Martinek, Rosalie Mae DeNota Ferguson, and Rose Marie DeNota, the latter of whom preceded her parents in death at the age of 20.
