Johann Adam Peter Klopp, known as "Peter" Klopp, was the son of Johann Peter Klopp, Jr. and Maria Werrina Becker Klopp, and was born in Heidelberg Township in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He was a lifelong Berks County farmer. He was first married to Elizabeth Hain who died about 1783. They had four children: Catharine, died aged 17, Elizabeth, died aged 2, John Peter, and a daughter that died young. His second wife was Elizabeth Fidler, a descendant of Gottfried Fidler. They had 15 children, one of whom was John Klopp.
