Doris Jean was the daughter of Billy Ratliff and Dorothy Mae JONES Ratliff.
Doris Jean Ratliff married Richard Maxwell Roberts Sept 30, 1971 in Cruger, Holmes County, Mississippi. They had two children; Richard "Chip" Roberts and Patricia Roberts.
Doris Jean was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a good wife, a wonderful mother and a true friend. She is loved and missed by all who knew her.
Cause of death, a three year battle with cancer.

Doris Jean Ratliff Roberts of Greenwood, 51, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her residence.

Services were held Tuesday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson & Knight Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Holmes County. Bro. Elmer Black was the officiating minister with Bro. Thomas Gore assisting.

Mrs. Roberts was born in Memphis, Tennessee but lived in Greenwood most of her adult life. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She retired from Bell South in 2003 after 32 years. At the time of her retirement she was Assistant Manager of the Service Department.

Survivors include: husband, Richard Maxwell Roberts, Sr., of Greenwood; parents, Billy and Dorothy Jones Ratliff of West; one daughter, Patricia Dianne Roberts of Orem, Utah; one son, Richard M. "Chip" Roberts of Greenwood; two sisters, Beverly R. Claburn of Hernando and Barbara R. McNeely of Southaven; three brothers, William David Ratliff of West, Richard Allen Ratliff of Milan, Illinois; and Joseph Lee Ratliff of Harrison, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were: Gene York, Harold Harbin Cecil Tollett, George Vasquez, Jerry Greenlee and Don Rowe.

Honorary pallbearers were: Mark Grantham, Anthony Grantham, Paul Clement, Dr. Kenneth Hines, and Trevor Greenlee.
