Isaac is the person that talked his family into moving to Whidbey Island. He settled 640 acres of the richest land on central Whidbey and farmed it until 1857, when he was beheaded by a raiding party of Kake Indians. His wife, Rebecca, came out to the coast on the Oregon trail with him and died only two years later.
