Donald Michael Reeser, 29, was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first-degree murder in the death of Allie Croom.

Police were called to Midwest City Regional Hospital at about 5:30 p.m., and investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit also responded.

Investigators said Reeser, who is the boyfriend of the toddler's mother, was at the lake with the victim. They believe Reeser repeatedly forced the child under water until she drowned.

Obit: Allie Elizabeth Croom, September 25, 2006 ~ June 18, 2009, age 2, of Choctaw, OK. Our precious, beautiful little angel was taken from us too soon. Little Allie loved singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and now she is a little star with Jesus. Her grandmothers will miss her sweet little songs she loved to sing to them and with them. Allie was the youngest of all her cousins, and the very best at being in charge. Allie liked to play dress up and brush her dolls' hair. Allie loved to hold her grandmothers' faces to give them kisses. She had fun pestering and teasing her Papa and Ari and feeding the horses with them. Allie was the happiest little girl in the world. She liked to play in the sand box with her Nannie, a shovel and bucket, building huge sand castles just so she could stomp them down, and giggling the whole time. Allie was a daddy's girl, and Ariana said she wants to tell her Allie she loves her. Allie is survived by her mother, Amber (Bibb) Croom; her father, Jonathan Croom; big sister, Ariana; grandparents: Dwight & Patty Croom of Choctaw, and Bobby and Cynthia Bibb of Oklahoma City; uncle, Chad Croom; uncle, James Haines; and uncle, Bobby Bibb, Jr; aunt Helena Croom; aunt, Amanda Haines; and aunt, Jennifer Bibb; cousins: Trevor Croom, Ilia Croom, Caden Bibb, and Logan Bibb; great- grandparents: John and Mary Stoneburner of Midwest City; and many other relatives. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Hibbs Funeral Home, with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens.
