Ryan, his brother Kevin and 2 other boys were being towed on tubes behind a powerboat driven by a family friend. A man on a jet ski struck the tube Ryan was riding on. Ryan died of his injuries.

Ryan is remembered in a memoriam published in the Hammond Times:
Ryan was Born July 24,1998 died accidentally August 20, 2005.

Ryan was a beautiful child a smart and talented boy, To everyone who knew him He truly was a joy. That little guy really loved chocolate, and how he loved life, He enjoyed playing the piano, he was such a happy lad. He loved his home and school in Lansing, and trips to Michigan always made him glad. He loved his dad, mom and grandparents, his family, friends and brother. It was really amazing to see what an inspiration he was to his mother. And, so we're really puzzled As to why he was taken away, We'll never really understand All we can do is pray. So take care of our precious Ryan, Lord. Remember he was only seven, Our hearts are aching, we miss him so. But know he's now our little angel in heaven.

Ryan was a special little friend of my nephew, Patrick Gralewski

THANKS TO ALL FOR THEIR FLOWERS AND SENTIMENTS.
THEY ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
