Harlow Cornelius Clark was born in Belfast City, Allegheny County, New York, April 6, 1842, died at his home, 124 Market Street, Brookfield, Mo., August 10, 1927, age 85 years, 4 months and 4 days.
He came to Missouri with his parents in 1849. At the age of 20 years, Mr. Clark joined the Union Army, Co. K, Missouri Volunteers, and served three years. He was married to Miss Elizabeth McCollum and to this union were born eight children, five of whom survive him; Annie Hayden of Beaver, Or.; Frances Lewis and Minerva Davis of Brookfield; J. Edward Clark of Hawker City, OK., and Willis S. Clark of Cushing, Ok; one brother, Chet S. Clark of Colorado Springs, Co.
The funeral services, conducted by Rev. W. M. Pettibon and Rev. C. L. Thomas, were held at the Christian Church, Friday, August 12, 1927, at 2:00 p.m. and burial was at Linhart Chapel, North of St. Catharine, Mo. under the direction of M. Y. Rusk Funeral Home.
