W. E. Bragg Rites Sunday.
---Winfred Edward Bragg, 86, of Gibbs, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday in a Kirksville hospital where he had been a patient since Monday.
---Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Pollock Funeral Chapel in La Plata and burial was in the La Plata cemetery. The Rev. Archie Cooper officiating.
---Mr. Bragg was born September 21, 1886 in Lavonia, the son of James F. and Ardenia Minear Bragg. On May 6, 1920 in Centerville, Iowa, he was married to Nora Hayes, who survives. They had lived on a farm near Gibbs. He was a veteran of World War I, serving one year in France.
---Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Max (Grace) Laird of Gibbs, son, Paul Bragg of La Plata; a brother, Pearl Bragg of Ottumwa, Ia., eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
---He had been preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, who died in infancy.
