"SPECK" BEALL
---Joshua James "Speck" Beall, fifty-six, of Kirksville, died suddenly this morning. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at Dee Riley Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor C.E. Davis of the South Side Baptist church. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
---Mr. Beall was the son of John Thomas and Eliza Graham Beall and was born in Macon County on April 12, 1900.
---He was married to Bonnie Fern Round at Kirksville on April 2, 1920 and to this marriage seven children were born.
---He is survived by his wife; his mother, living at La Plata; five daughters, Mrs. Frank (Genevieve) Stewart, Mrs. Andrew (Jean) Stewart and Mrs. Jesse (Fern) Maize, all of Kirksville, Mrs. Virgil (Elizabeth) Mills of Quincy, Illinois and Mrs. John (Inez) Thomas of Fordland, Missouri; four brothers, Patrick Beall of St. Charles, Missouri, Mike Beall of Chillicothe, Missouri, Elza Beall and Robert Beall of La Plata; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Yevonne) Rylander of Rover Grove, Illinois and 19 grandchildren.
---He was preceded in death by his father; two daughters; three brothers and two sisters.
---Mr. Beall was a veteran of World War I serving with infantry overseas.
