---Allen Leroy Hopper, age 79 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Lock Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Missouri.
---Born December 22, 1932 in Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Clarence Allen and Margaret Lee (Crabtree) Hopper. On November 12, 1950 in Kirksville, he married Nona Jones who survives.
---Also surviving are two sons, Doug Hopper and wife Cynthia of North Kansas City, Missouri and Jeff Hopper and wife Bobbi of Camas, Washington; two daughters, Debbie Walker of Macon, Missouri and Linda Brown and husband John of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two sisters, Evelyn Brewere of Sparta, Tennessee and Lona Matheney of Kirksville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
---Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, David Hopper.
---Allen was a graduate of Novinger High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Allen enjoyed creating crafts with his wife, hunting and fishing with his sons, and spending time with his family.
---Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be the Reverend David Gottman.
---Burial with full military honors will be in the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri.
---Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Missouri.
