VICTOR H. (VIC) LEHR
---Victor H. (Vic) Lehr, age 63, of Warsaw, Missouri and formerly of La Plata, Missouri passed away Saturday (November 22, 2008) at his home after a long and courageous fight against cancer.
---Vic was born February 14, 1945 in Kirksville, Missouri the son of Dr. H.D. and Mary Elizabeth Lehr of Elmer, Missouri. In 1951 the family moved to La Plata, Missouri where he graduated form high school in 1963.
---Along with family, Vic's other great loves in life, were Scouting, the United States Air Force and the medical field. In his younger years Vic became an Eagle Scout, was inducted into the Order of the Arrow and later became a Scout Master. He had 20 rewarding years as a member of the US Air Force in the medical field retiring in 1984 as a MSgt. After his USAF retirement, he spent the next 24 years working in health and medical related fields. He was a certified Cardio-Pulmonary Specialist and specialized in health and medical equipment.
---He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Vicki of the home, son Steven Lehr and his wife, Becky of Anchorage Alaska; one daughter, Becky Lehr of La Plata, Missouri; one brother, Robert Lehr and wife, Betty of Alrus, Oklahoma, one granddaughter, McKenzie Lehr of Denver, Colorado and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Warsaw, La Plata and throughout the United States.
---Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (December 2, 2008) at the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
---Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri.
---Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday (December 1, 2009) at the Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Missouri.
---Memorial in memory of Victor H. (Vic) Lehr may be made to the La Plata High School Class of 1963 Scholarship Fund. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 South Church Street, La Plata, Missouri 63549.
