She was born to C. J. and Willie Carr. She lived her early years in Elgin where she met her life-long sweetheart, James C. Bullard on May 5, 1950. She married her soul-mate while he was serving in the Marines. Later, they began their life together in the oilfields of West Texas, where they raised four beautiful children in Snyder, Texas. Pat was a dedicated employee of the City of Snyder in many capacities, including accountant, police dispatcher, and book keeper for several years. Pat was an active member of the Church of Christ, and offered her service in many areas throughout her Godly life. Pat and Jake moved to the oilfields of Vernal, Utah in 1977. Pat continued to serve her family and Lord in the Vernal Church of Christ. Pat and Jake later relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia with Iaapco Oil where they spent over 10 years in a tropical paradise. They were able to treat many family and friends to beautiful vacations and lifetime experiences while living in Indonesia. Pat again was an active member of her church, and was a dedicated member of the American Women's Association. Pat was a valued member as she devoted many hours of volunteer work to Indonesian charities. Pat and Jake returned to the United States to retire in Granbury, Texas in 1989, where they spent their golden years together. In 2001, they eventually moved to The Woodlands, Texas to be near their children. Throughout her life, Pat was described as being "the most precious, kind-hearted, Godly woman" people had ever known. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and was known for her skills in cooking, and caring for others, as well as her ability to make others feel loved. Pat handled her illness with strength, dignity, and grace, and was a spiritual example to her family and friends until the end. Pat was preceded in death by her "mate for life", Jake Bullard, in August 2003. It comforts her family to know that they both now live eternally together in heaven. Pat is survived by her 4 loving children; daughter Jana Bullard Evans and husband Dennis of Branson, Missouri; son Joe Bullard and wife Hollis of Houston, Texas; daughter Sheri Bullard Daugherty and husband Brandy of Magnolia, Texas; and son Chad Bullard and wife Heidi of The Woodlands, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, a brother Tom Carr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. {Bio published in The Houston Chronicle}.
