A funeral will be held Monday, April 28th, 2008 for 72-year-old Leonard E. Gegg of Ste. Genevieve, who died Friday, April 25th, 2008 at his home.

He was born January 23rd, 1936 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of August and Regina (Hermann) Gegg. They preceded him in death.

He married Marilyn Gegg May 30th, 1959. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Jeffery and Jackie Gegg of St. Louis, Patrick Gegg of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter and son in law, Sharon and Mark Partney of Pevely; five grandchildren, Adam, Megan, Millie, Brandon and Ashley; two brothers and sisters in law, Edgar and Dorothy Gegg of Ste. Genevieve, Albin and Jeanie Gegg of Farmington; a sister, Mildred Stumpf of Ste. Genevieve.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise and Anna Joggerst, and Rosemary Gegg.

He was a past president of the St. Catherine Parish Council, past president of the Coffman School Board, and a member of the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Board, MFA Livestock Commission, Democratic Committee, Ste. Genevieve Elks and the Mineral Area Heritage Tractor Club.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, April 27th, at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 72-year-old Leonard E. Gegg of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28th, 2008 at the St. Catherine Church. The Rev Joseph Reilly will officiate.

Burial will follow in the St. Catherine Cemetery in Coffman.
