She was born March 4, 1897 at Lithium, Mo., the daughter of James and Mary Theresa Reed.
She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
She first married William A. Miller on Sept. 2, 1916. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 1941.
She then married Albert Valleroy on Feb. 14, 1942. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1947.
She then married Henry Halter on June 8, 1948. He preceded her in death March 13, 1977.
Mrs. Halter is survived by one son, Carl Miller, Chaffee; three step sons, Andrew Halter, St. Louis, Romanus Halter, Cape Girardeau, Michael Halter, Cape Girardeau; two daughters Alfreda Bohnert and Stella Miller, both of Cape Girardeau; one step daughter, Mary Marvel, Oran; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. today at the Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran. A rosary will be held tonight.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Pat McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
