Sister Hefti had taught school at the Catholic Childern's Home and St. Mathew's School, both in Alton, from 1955 to 1975.
Born in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Anastasia (Flieg) Hefti.
Surviving are a brother, Julius Hefti of St. Louis and a sister, Sister Constantia of Ruma.
Services were held today at theRuma Mother House.
Burial was in Ruma Convent Cemetery.
Dashner Funeral Home of Red Bud handled arrangements.
