A funeral will be held Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007 for 88-year-old Lavern C. (Wipfler) Basler of Ste. Genevieve, who died today, Saturday, January 20th, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 20, 1919 in Dexter, the daughter of Thomas Wipfler and Johanna (Guethle) Wipfler who both preceded her in death.

She married Glennon L. Basler in June 1937. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law: Curtis and Marilyn Basler of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters and sons in law, Shirley and John Van Landeghem of Imperial and Glenda and Terry Dalton of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Thomas and Louis Wipfler and a great grandchild.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 22nd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 88-year-old Lavern C. (Wipfler) Basler of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 23rd at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
